The Story So Far
System 2 Security is now the longest established security company in Weston super Mare being formed by David Cogle who had been installing alarms for other firms for many years. He started with just one employee back in 1978 from an office at his home and although the firm has now grown considerably its still run by him and his family giving that personal touch.
The company was one of the first to break the monopoly on small firms gaining Approved installer status in 1981 to the now NACOSS, part of the National Security Inspectorate. Being also committed to quality control gained BS5750 to the present ISO 9000 quality accreditation.
Having outgrown our lock up in North St we then moved to larger a premises in Orchard Place. We are now in more prominent position on the Locking Road next to the Bristol Hotel so it is easier for our customers to pop in.
Although our core business is still Intruder Alarms we have now been accredited in other related security sectors. One being our thriving CCTV department. We can supply and fit all the latest equipment as well as supplying some other outlets and DIY kits. We can also supply Door Entry Systems and Physical security. If we can’t do we will know who can so ask us.
Finding there is a discerning customer who prefers to buy a system in the market between the ‘cheap ‘n' troublesome' mostly sold at the door and the overpriced ‘nationals'. We have therefore opted to stick to a top quality installation using state of the art equipment at a realistic cost. We may not get a lot of business from breakdowns but we are sure our customers prefer it that way. That why they recommend us time and time again.
Our mandate is to design and fit a system to the Business and Domestic Customers needs and only fit State of the Art Quality Equipment. Let the customer know exactly what they are buying and what we offer as ongoing service. How much it will all cost, not only for the initial fitting but in running costs for years to come. We don't sell a cheap install and then tie you up to years of high monthly monitoring payments. Amazingly some people still do not compare the overall cost.
We pride our selves with some good old fashioned service that generates some 70% of our new work coming from recommendations and that says something. We have no need to pressure sell or need to go door banging. We want our customers to join us in a partnership that will give them the satisfaction of knowing we have installed a good system and most importantly for peace of mind we are available 24/7 to maintain it.
Our staff are all professional alarm engineers working for us and not contracted that specialise solely in security, we don't do anything else. No time limit is set for your work, we say finish when the job is done.
Security is not just a part of our business, it is our business.
